Shepherdsville, Ky. - The Lawrence Tech women's golf squad hosted 7 schools for the LTU Spring Break Invite at the Heritage Hill Golf Course. LTU played round 1 and 2 on Friday. The Blue Devils shot a team score of 320 on the opening 18 holes and shot a team score of 323 in round 2, finishing in fourth place. The Blue Devils played round 3 on Saturday, shooting a team score of 335, finishing in fourth place.
Lawrence Tech facing ranked teams like No. 10 Marian (Ind.) and No. 21 Milligan.
Marian (Ind.) takes home the win with a final team score of 978.
Leading the way for LTU was freshman Tanawan Vetchayanvivat (73+76+80=229), finishing in sixth. Following Vetchayanvivat was freshman Alix Schickele (77+75+86=238), finishing in 12th. Freshman Cadance Beuckelare (83+86+84=253), senior Alanna Makarchuk (89+86+85=260), and junior Ella Smith (87+89+92=268) also competed for the Blue Devils.
Freshman Gretchen Ullrich (105+90+98=293) and freshman Mia Hengel (101+111+95=307) competed individually.
The Blue Devils will be back in action April 5-6 to host the LTU Shootout at Stonehenge in Augusta, Michigan.
