Nicholasville, Ky. - The Lawrence Tech
men's golf squad headed out to Nicholasville, Kentucky for the Spring Arbor Garn Championship on Monday. LTU facing ranked schools like no.13 ranked Campbellsville, no. 21 Marian, RV Cumberlands (Ky.), RV Indiana Wesleyan, RV Tennessee Wesleyan, and RV Northwestern Ohio.
The Blue Devils shot a team score of 314 placing third in the opening 18 holes.
Cumberlands (Ky.) leads the playing field with a team score of 302.
Leading the way for LTU was senior
Liam McEvoy (74), finishing in fourth place, tying with two opposing players. Behind McEvoy was graduate student
Luis Pacheco (78) and senior
Bruno Vicente (79). Junior
Martin Wing (83) and senior
Anthony Zeitler (85) also competed for the Blue Devils.
Round 2 and 3 will be played tomorrow at a 8am shotgun.
