TROY, Mich.--Lawrence Tech senior captain
Connor Juhasz (Enfield [Conn.] High School/Boston Jr. Bruins, USPHL Elite) has earned Division 3 second-team All-America honors from the American Collegiate Hockey Association this week.
Juhasz, who had a career year with scoring totals of 20 goals, 19 assists and 39 points in 36 games, helped lead top-seeded LTU to its first-ever ACHA Division 3 national championship earlier this month after a 4-2 victory over No. 3 Grand Valley State in the title game. The Blue Devils went 4-0-1 during the tournament held in Maryland Heights, Mo., as part of a 29-5-2 overall record to set a program record for victories.
" I am happy for Connor. What an outstanding accomplishment to be named ACHA All-American," LTU head coach
Ken Gaffney stated. "Connor has had an amazing four-year career at LTU. He has advanced his skills, contributions and on-ice production each year. Connor competes every night, plays the whole 200 feet and is a player the opponent has to be worried about. From all of us at Blue Devil Hockey, we are happy for Connor and his family as he is well deserving of this award."
For his career, Juhasz has 54+40=94 scoring totals. Last month, he was named to the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference East Division First Team after netting regular-season numbers of 17+13=30 to pace the team in goals and points. His previous top marks were 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points during his 2022 sophomore campaign.
The Blue Devils also claimed the 2024 MCHC East crown with a school-record 12-1-1 conference mark.
