The Blue Devils got all the offense it would need with two goals in the opening period. Radu set the tone with his first of the contest midway through on assists from senior Nicklas Oda and Jentz. Sophomore Benjamin De Haas made it 2-0 with 4 minutes and 23 seconds left when he scored unassisted after a sticklift of an opponent in LTU's offensive zone near the left face-off circle.

Radu added an insurance goal, shorthanded, at 3:25 mark into the second period. Lawrence Tech finished the second period with two more goals for a commanding 5-0 advantage.

Junior starting goaltender Timothy Young up his record to 7-1-1 after stopping all 15 shots he faced in 33:06 before giving way to classmate Griffin Foster (4 saves) who played the final 26:54.

The Bearcats' Zachary Motil spoiled LTU's shutout bid at 12:06 in the third period to make it 8-1 at the time.

Lawrence Tech outshot SVC 33 to 20, went 1-for-2 on the power-play and scored two shorthanded goals.
