AUGUSTA, Mich. -- The Lawrence Tech men's golf squad headed out to Augusta to host the LTU Battle at Brae on Friday. The Blue Devils Team A shot a team score of 293 leading the way and Team B shot a score of 298 placing 3rd out of 10 teams on the opening 18 holes of round one. Team A shot a team score of 292 finishing in first place in round 2 and team B shot a team score of 297 finishing in third.
Team A:
Leading the way for LTU Team A was sophomore
Martin Wing (75+69=144) finishing in second place with two other golfer and graduate student
Luis Pacheco (74+71=145) finished in 5th place. Senior
Liam McEvoy (69+77=146) finished in sixth place. Senior
Bruno Vicente (77+75=152) and senior Anthony Zietler (75+79=154) also competed for the Blue Devils.
Team B:
Leading the way for LTU Team B was freshman
Yan De Mondt (71+73=144) also finished in second with Wing. Sophomore
Santiago Herrero (74+74=148) finished in 12th place. Sophomore
Richard Bramley (76+75=151), junior
Caden Gloss (84+75=159), and junior
Carlos Ochoa (77+83=160),also competed.
The Blue Devils will be back in action on Tuesday at the Lourdes Spring Invite at the Legacy Golf Course in Ottawa Lakes.
