Box Score SAVANNAH, GA. -- The Lawrence Technological University women's lacrosse team faced 6-seeded Benedictine College in the first round of the NAIA National tournament. This was a match-up between the last two champions, as Benedictine defeated Lawrence Tech in 2022's NAIA Championship Game and Lawrence Tech won the title last spring.
LTU earned their first victory against Benedictine in school history, after losing their first two.
The Blue Devils rattled off 8 straight goals in the second quarter to come back from an early 4-1 deficit, and used that to propel themselves to victory.
With the win on Wednesday, and subsequent Cumberlands victory, the Blue Devils set up a rematch for the ages, with the winner on to the big game.
