DALTON, Ga. - The Lawrence Tech men's golf squad headed out to Dalton Golf and Country Club for the NAIA Championship Tournament. The Blue Devils shot a team score of 319 in round 1, finishing in 23rd place out of 30 schools. Lawrence Tech attempted to stay another day in the tournament but was just short by 2 shots, shooting 301 in round 2, finishing in 19th place. You have to finish in the top 15, to continue to move onto day 3.  

Texas Weselyan now has the lead after day 2 with a team score of 295+294=589.   

Leading the way for LTU was senior Liam McEvoy (75+73=148), shooting 4 over par, finishing in 13th place. Graduate student Luis Pacheco (84+73+157), senior Bruno Vicente (79+79=158), sophomore Santiago Herrero (81+77=158), and sophomore Martin Wing (86+78=164) got the opportunity to play as well.    

Liam McEvoy will have the opportunity to compete individually tomorrow for a 9:40am start.
