KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) this week released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athletes, which features four honorees Lawrence Tech's men's lacrosse roster, including Brendan Shinavier, Grady Holmes, Jonathan Richter, and Josh Swallow.
Shinavier is a media Communications sophomore from Saline, Michigan. Holmes of Oxford, Ohio, is a junior mechanical engineering major who hit a career high this season, leading the Blue Devils offense with 46 goals, 20 assists for a total of 66 points. Holmes also earned WHAC Midfielder of the Year honors. Richter, who is also a junior mechanical engineering student and midfielder out of Oxford, Ohio, racked up 6 goals and 19 assists for a total of 25 points this season. A defensemen, Swallow from Tecumseh, Michigan is studying mechanical and manufacturing engineering and he made10 appearances with 10 starts, recording 11 ground balls. .
The 2024 list features 107 student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
