Women's Golf Struggles in Keiser Shootout on a Tough PGA National Course

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The Lawrence Tech women's golf squad took a trip to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for the Keiser Sailboat Shootout, LTU played round 1 and 2 on Monday. The Blue Devils were sitting in eighth place after day 1 shooting a 331 in round 1 and a 339 in round 2 on a challenging PGA National course. The Blue Devils finished in eighth place after Tuesday, shooting 324 in round 3.   

Keiser finished in first place after shooting a team score of 886.   

Leading the way for LTU was sophomore Tanawan Vetchayanvivat (73+74+72=219), finishing tied for fourth. Following Vetchayanvivat is freshman Claire Hollingsworth (84+84+83=251), senior Ella Smith (87+88+85=260), sophomore Cadance Beuckelare (88+93+84=265), and sophomore Alix Schickele (87+93+93=273), that all competed for the Blue Devils.  

The Blue Devils will be back in action Friday for the Bethel Rumble at the Rock in Peru, Indiana at the Rock Hollow Course.
