STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. — The Lawrence Tech University Women's Team continued its strong season with a 2nd place finish out of 11 teams at WHAC #3 – the Michigan Open, hosted by LTU on Saturday, December 6 at 5 Star Lanes.
The Blue Devils posted 5,580 total pins, averaging 180.00 across three traditional games and four Baker rounds, finishing just 96 pins behind Indiana Tech's winning score of 5,676.
LTU had four bowlers finish in the top 10 overall. Senior
Amelia Adams (St. Louis, Mo./Oakville HS) led the field with a 626 series (216–176–234) to take 1st place individually. She was followed by
Hannah Reid (7th - 570),
Amelia Lemanowicz (9th - 560), and Freshman
Paiton Thompson (10th - 555).
The LTU JV Team also earned a 2nd place finish, narrowly missing the top spot by just 37 pins.
