OPELIKA, Ala. - The Lawrence Tech University Women's Golf team, known for their tenacity, positioned themselves in a commendable fourth place at the LTU Spring Break Invite, held at the Grand National GCS in Opelika, Alabama. With a collective score of 675, splitting as 345 in the first round and 330 in the second, the Blue Devils have shown consistent improvement and resilience against a diverse field of competitors including teams from Dalton State, Cumberlands, Doane, Faulkner, UT Southern, St. Thomas (FL), and Oakland City.
Among the standout performances, sophomore
Tanawan Vetchayanvivat leads the team, holding the sixth spot individually with scores of 78 and 81. Other notable contributors include sophomore
Alix Schickele, who improved to an 82 in the second round after an opening 89, and freshmen
Claire Hollingsworth with consistent scores of 88 and 84. Sophomore
Cadance Beuckelare and senior
Ella Smith also added to the team's solid performance with their sequential improvements in the rounds.
