Lawrence Tech Track and Field Excels at SAU Bill Bippes Cougar Classic

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - In an impressive display of athleticism, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils excelled at the Spring Arbor Invite held on April 11, 2025. Both the men's and women's teams showcased exceptional performances, breaking eight school records and securing multiple top finishes.

Among the record-breaking achievements, Jacqueline Albo set a new mark in the women's 400 meters while the women's teams also excelled in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay events. On the men's side, Camron Krebs made his mark by setting new school records in both the 400 meters hurdles and the javelin. Aiden Brzezinski and Bryce Butler dominated in the 10k and hammer throw respectively, with Brandon Murphy Jr. achieving a new record in the shot put.

The Blue Devils also had several event winners at the Invite. Graeson Lawrence took first place in the 1500 meters, Aiden Brzezinski triumphed in the 10k, Hanna Assenmacher led the pack in the 5k, and Hunter Houser soared to victory in the pole vault.

Adding to the team's accolades, Martina Montserrat-Vilar qualified for the U20 National Championships in the 100 meters hurdles, scheduled to take place in Badajoz, Spain this July. Her qualification not only highlights her individual prowess but also adds to the university's reputation in track and field.

This spectacular performance at the Spring Arbor Invite is a testament to the strength and depth of the Blue Devils' track and field program, setting high expectations for the future meets and championships.
