Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Celebrate All-Conference Honors in Track and Field

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Lawrence Tech University's Track and Field team has highlighted a season of remarkable athletic and academic achievements, as several of its members received significant recognitions at the WHAC Conference.

Hannah Assenmacher led the charge for the women's team, earning a first-team all-conference honor for her exemplary performance in the steeplechase event, clocking in at 11:44.03. In the 4x100m relay, the team of Latrice Williams, Martina Montserrat, Maliea May, and Aniya Adams also captured first-team all-conference honors with a striking time of 47.18 seconds.

In addition to these athletic recognitions, the Blue Devils also celebrated their character champions. Caleigh Bovensiep was honored as the women's track and field Champion of Character, while Jeremy Whoolery received the corresponding award for the men's team.

The academic achievements of the Blue Devils were equally impressive. Jeremy Whoolery, Griffin Armbrustmacher, Hunter Assenmacher, Noah Blandino, Benjamin Dawson, Luke Droz, Camron Krebs, and Ayden Walaskay were all recognized on the men's track and field all-academic team. For the women's team, Maliea May and Hannah Assenmacher were acknowledged for their scholastic excellence.

These accolades underscore the Blue Devils' commitment not only to athletic excellence but also to character and academics, embodying the true spirit of student-athletes at Lawrence Tech University.
