OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - At the Lourdes Men's Spring Invitational, the Lawrence Tech B-team secured a tie for 8th place, led by a strong individual performance from
Ali Elsayed, who shot a 5-over-par 77 to finish in a tie for 21st. Following closely behind were
Martin Wing, who carded a 78 (+6) to tie for 28th, and
Federico Sandrolini, whose 79 (+7) placed him in a tie for 32nd. Rounding out the scoring for the B-team were
Santiago Herrero with an 80 (+8) and
Lassi Pollari with an 82 (+10). Additionally, the tournament featured several LTU individuals competing as part of the primary roster; Wapol (Phil) Tangcharoen led that group with an 82 (+10), while
Mateusz Zygadlo,
Francisco Mustico, and
Evan Starrs all finished with rounds of 90 (+18).
The Blue Devil women highlighted their day at the Lourdes Women's Spring Invitational with a spectacular individual victory by Cadance Beuckelare. Representing the LTU B-team, Beuckelare claimed the tournament title by carding a 2-over-par 74, finishing three strokes ahead of her nearest competitor. She was supported by teammate Claire Hollingsworth, who earned a top-20 finish with a round of 87 (+15), and Gretchen Ullrich, who finished in a tie for 34th with a 94 (+22). Samantha Rickabaugh also contributed a score of 100 (+28) to the team total. While Alivia Kolenda was unfortunately forced to withdraw, the standout performance from Beuckelare served as the definitive highlight of the event for Lawrence Tech.
