SOUTHFEILD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University men's tennis team competes in their last fall match on Saturday, October 8 with Hillsdale (Mich.) College at the Southfield Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 11:00 A.M.

Lawrence Tech (5-1) easily defeated Adrian College 7-2 on Wednesday, October 5, sweeping the doubles competition and winning four of six singles matches. Sergio Lopez and Javier Alvarez took first doubles 8-3, followed by Mason Wenzel and Jan Horstkoetter at second doubles 8-5. Vincent Colarossi and Stijn Bremer sealed the sweep with an 8-4 win at third doubles.

In singles competition, Lopez won at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2 and Robert Saitov took third singles 4-6, 6-3, 10-8. Winning at No. 5 singles was Wenzel, 8-1 and Colarossi closed with a victory at No. 6 singles.

This will be LTU's second meeting with Hillsdale College. The first, falling on Saturday, February 20, 2016 was a 5-4 battle favoring Hillsdale. The Blue Devils' Wenzel and Horstkoetter were successful at second doubles, as were Colarossi and Robert Saitov winning 8-5 at No. 3 doubles. Lopez and Alvarez fell at No. 1 doubles 8-4. In singles competition, Saitov and Wenzel took home wins at sixth and fourth singles.
