SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University men's tennis team continues their fall season as they take on Albion College at 4:00 P.M. at the Southfield Tennis Courts.
Lawrence Tech (3-1) delivered an overpowering performance against Olivet College in their latest regular season game, winning 9-0. The men swept all three doubles competitions, as well as the singles contests with Lopez, Alvarez, Horstkoetter, Wenzel, Northey and Bremer all finishing unbeaten.
Albion enters today's match 0-0-1 after participating in the Hope College Fall Invitational. Senior Zach McKenzie and sophomore Josh McGarry produced the only victories in the competition with McKenzie defeating Calvin 6-1, 6-1 and McGarry winning 6-4, 6-1.
LTU comes into this match-up 1-0 against Albion, winning 6-3 on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Sergio Lopez and Javier Alvarez won their doubles match 8-2 while Vincent Colarossi and Mason Wenzel took No. 2 doubles 8-4. In singles, Lopez cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1, followed by a three-set win at second doubles by Alvarez. Colarossi and Saitov earned the final two points for LTU to seal the match.
