"We are excited to open the weekend at such a strong tournament that has been around for a long time," said first year head coach Anna Ball. "Pitchers and catchers have been prepping well and hitters and fielders have been working hard to be ready for this weekend. Everyone is ready to start playing and see some live action."
"Alexa Cherney, Brittney Bult and Sydney Schultz will lead us from the mound this year with Alex Amos, Tayah Wagner and Katie Kubiak completing our battery behind the dish," Ball stated.
"Dana Bigham is our shortstop in the middle of the field with Meredith Adams and Maddy Gapshes covering our corners at 1st and 3rd respectfully. Hanna Ruddock will round out the infield at 2B. Our outfield has some speed in Jackie Mattingly and Alina Molette and some experience with transfer Madison Solecki."
"Bailey Brown is our most versatile player and will see time in both the infield and outfield. We will look for power and consistency from hitters, Brooke Dillon, Genna Skalski and Mary Armstrong," commented Ball.
Grace College commenced their season on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Martin Methodist Meltdown, winning their season opener 12-11 against #14 Martin Methodist. They followed that with a 10-5 to (RV) Georgetown.
