GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's tennis team defeated Davenport University this evening 6-3 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In doubles competition, duo Juan Bermudez and Javier Alvarez took down Haja Denise and Mike Digby 8-4 while Vincent Colarossi and Stijn Bremer knocked off Matt McClurg and Max Hartman 8-1 at third doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Jan Horstkoetter and Mason Wenzel fell 8-5 to Sam Rogerson and Juan Philip Van Antwerpen.

First singles went to Bermudez while Alvarez and Robert Saitov fell at second and third singles. Horstkoetter picked up a win at fourth singles over Digby 7-5, 6-4 and Bremer was victorious at fifth singles 6-3, 6-2 over Denise. Wenzel wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win at sixth singles over Hartman.

The Blue Devils return to the courts on April 15 to take on No. 4 University of Northwestern Ohio at the Franklin Athletic Club. First serve will be at 1:00 PM.
