Franklin Athletic Club - Southfield, Mich - The LTU Men's Tennis Team fell short at home this Monday against the Lakers of Lake Superior State University, by a score of 2-4. 

The first doubles match went the full distance, as your pair of Blue Devils, Alexander Tammaro and Alex Fernandez-Rajel were able to pull away with a victory 7-6. The next two doubles matches, Lake Superior State would defeat both of our duos. Lukas Obel and William Burgess lose by a score of 3-6. Pedro Orellana and Nicholas DaMotta lost 4-6.

The Blue Devils were able to steal two quick wins in the first two singles matches. Getting on the board first by winning the first and third set of the match was Alex Tammaro winning by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 12-10. Pedro Orellana was able to help the team jump out to an early 2-0 lead for the singles matches. Orellana stole the match going the distance 6-4, 2-6, 11-9. The next three matches would go to Lake Superior State. Alex Rajel battled in a tough matchup but came up short, losing 1-6, 7-6, 8-10. Will Burgess was the #4 singles match of the day as he lost in straight sets, 3-6, 4-6. The final singles match was finished in straight sets as Lukas Obel lost 1-6, 4-6. With the final results, Lake Superior State University won the match 2-4.

The LTU Men's Tennis Team will look to bounce back on Saturday, Feburary 29th as they travel to Lima, Ohio to face the Racers of Northwestern Ohio Unviersity. The match is set to begin at 2:00pm.
