Lima, OH - The Blue Devils Tennis Team has now lost five straight matches as their record falls to 2-6 on the season. Going into March, the men will look to get back in the win column as they battle a tough schedule throughout the month.
The first doubles match was between Alexander Tammaro and Alex Rajal as they fell short 3-6. Lukas Obel and William Burgess was the second doubles match to finish as they battled a tough match and also fell short 3-6. The next match saw the blue devils take another loss with a final score of 2-6. UNOH has a very solid core group of doubles, the blue devils still battled just couldn't come out on top.
In the singles matches dug themselves a big hole after losing five of the six matches. The first match to finish went to the third set as Pedro Orellana would lose 6-2, 3-6, 4-6. Finishing in straight sets was the second singles match, as Rajal lost 1-6, 4-6. The Blue Devils were able to get on the board with their first match victory coming from sophomore, Alexander Tammaro. He was able to win the match in straight sets 6-4, 7-5. Obel lost 0-6, 1-6 in his singles match. Burgess was the fifth singles match to finish as he would lose 3-6, 3-6. The final singles match of the day was Nico DaMotta as the final score for this match was 2-6, 3-6.
The LTU Men will have a week off to recover, as they will travel to Hilton Head South Carlolina. The team will have five matches down there as they will look to get back on track. The matches will begin on March 8-13. Check the LTU Athletics website and LTU social media for updates.
