Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) men's tennis team took care of home court as they came away with a nice victory in their first home match against Lourdes Univeristy with a final score of 7-0.
In the #1 doubles match, Alexander Tammaro and Jannis Schneider defeated Ulises Barradas/Niladri Aich (Lourdes) with a score of 6-0 winning in straight sets.. In the #2 doubles match, Lukas Obel and Patrick Putschbach had no problem beating Kareem Badr/Dominick Brock (Lourdes) in their match as they won 6-1. In the #3 doubles match and the final doubles match of the day, Luca Roch and Kevin Bollmann won their match by defult as their were no available players for Lourdes.
Moving on to the singles matches, Tammaro won his matchup with ease in straight sets with a score of 6-0, 6-3. Patrick Putschbach did not give up a single set in his match as he defeated Niladri Aich with a final score of 6-0, 6-0. In the #3 singles match, Luca Roth followed in suit of the first two LTU singles matches as he beat his opponent 6-1, 6-3. The final singles match on the day came from a very strong effort from Kevin Bollmann, as he dominated the whole entire match with a score of 6-0. 6-0. Lucas Obel and Alexander Tammaro both won by default in their singles matches.
Lawrence Tech Men's Tennis is now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in WHAC play. LTU will go back to the courts Saturday afternoon February, 20th at home and the match will begin at 12:00 pm as they take on Lake Superior State University.
