BEVERLY HILLS, Mich.- Men's lacrosse was back in action for the first time since Spring of 2020, playing their final game of the 2020 season in Flordia. This was before athletics was shut down due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It was the Blue Devils home opener on Sunday afternoon, taking on the top-ranked Reinhart in a 1 vs 2 to open the season. The hype was there with the Blue Devils looking to make an impact statement knocking off what has become quite the rival. The result was the Blue Devils falling to Reinhardt 19-6 Sunday afternoon at Country Day.
Goals for the Blue Devils came in all four quarters. The first goal for LTU was scored at the 4:51 mark of Quarter 1 by Nathan Greenwood. Greenwood would score again at the 9:19 mark of the second quarter. Eli Lozinski scored at the 6:58 mark of the second quarter for his first of three goals. Lozinski would score again at the 7:08 and 5:36 mark of the fourth quarter. Connor Davis was the lone goal in the third quarter scoring at the 9:13 mark.
Overall the Blue Devils had 6 goals, 5 assists, 20 shots, 11 shots on goal, and 11 ground balls Sunday.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils prepare to take on Indiana Tech for their first WHAC game on Saturday, March 20th, inside the Country Day Field House, first draw is slated for 7 pm.
