Pepper Pike, OH - The Lawrence Technological University men's tennis team traveled to Ohio to compete against John Carroll University where they took care of business and swept the Blue Streaks 7-0.
In the doubles play, Luca Roth / Alex Rajal dominated their doubles match to start off the day with a win against Isaac Palinkas / Luis Wentz 6-1.
Alex Tammaro / Nils Hammarsten was able to defeat Grant Sarnowski / Sean Padden 6-3.
Patrick Putschbach / Jannis Schneider came out on top against Logan Langovsky / Mark Beebe 6-3.
In the singles play, the Blue Devils secured all 6-singles matches as Hammarsten beat Beebe by a final score of 6-4, 6-1.
The second singles match was the match that clinched the win for LTU where Pedro Garcia-Orellana defeated Sarnowski 6-3, 6-1
Diego Colombo beat Palinkas by a final score of 6-2, 6-1.
In the next singles set, Tammaro won easily over Langovsky by a score of 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets.
Schneider's singles match was retired after he was winning 4-0.
Finally, for the Blue Devils, Rafa Mendes got the win over Wentz ending in 6-2, 6-3.
LTU beat JCU 7-0.
The next men's tennis competition is Thursday, September 30th in Marion, Indiana where they will play at the ITA Regionals. The time for this event is TBA.
