Box Score 2 Brighton, Mich - The Lawrence Technological University softball team was back on the diamond Friday all day when they played Oakland City University and #19 Saint Xavier University in another pair of games. Game one versus OCU was a low-scoring affair resulting in a final score of 4-2. Game 2 was a defensive battle ending in an LTU upset over #19 SXU by a final score of 2-1.
Game 1 - How It Happened: OCU 2, LTU 4
- Both teams went scoreless in the first two innings on three hits.
- The Mighty Oaks took the lead in the top of the third after a McKendree Ward homer to left-center.
- LTU found some life scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- Clover Brandt's 2-RBI single to left field brought home Mazie Lawler and Callie Tatum.
- Katie Courneya stepped into the box delivering a 2-RBI double to left-center to bring around Brandt and Lily Morrissette
- No scoring in the fifth and sixth inning from both teams
- Ashton Steinbrenner's single to right-center for OCU made it 4-2 in the top of the seventh.
- Gloriana Su'a was able to go the distance and close this game out by a final score of 4-2 LTU.

Su'a pitched a complete game allowing just two runs to pick up the win. She gave up one earned run on six hits. Su'a struck out two batters in this one.
Game 2 - How It Happened: #19 SXU 1, LTU 2
- The first hit of the game came from a Morrissette single to left field.
- After three innings the score was knotted at zeros.
- Haley Mazon got things going in the bottom of the fourth with a single to the right corner.
- Tatum reached on a throwing error moving Mazon to third.
- Courneya was up next and came up clutch after her 2-RBI single to left field to score Mazon and Tatum.
- LTU was up 2-0 after four.
- Pitcher, Grace Roeske took control of the bump after the Blue Devils went up two.
- SXU tried to rally back late after a seventh-inning bomb to right-center, but it was too late.
- LTU upset #19 SXU by a final score of 2-1.

- RBI - SXU 1, LTU 2
- LOB - SXU 3, LTU 4
Roeske pitched a complete game two-hitter only giving up one run. She struck out two batters in the victory.
