Southfield, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University men's tennis ran up against a tough NCAA Division I Wayne State Warriors squad on Tuesday afternoon, falling 7-0 inside the Franklin Athletic Club.
Putschbach/Schneider were doubled up at the top flight, 3-6, as well as Tammaro/Roth shortly thereafter as Wayne State won the lone doubles point.
Hammarsten/Morgan did pull out a 6-4 win at 3-doubles for the lone bright spot for Lawrence Tech.
Jannis Schneider dropped his 5-singles match 2-6, 0-6 to start off singles play before Alexander Tammaro lost 2-6, 3-6 at 2-singles.
Nils Hammarsten was unable to use his momentum in his 3-singles match as he lost in straight sets 1-6, 4-6 as Wayne State clinched the match at 4-0.
Luca Roth fell in straight sets at 6-singles, 2-6, 4-6, as Evan Morgan (4-6, 3-6) and Pedro Garcia-Orellana (3-6, 4-6) rounded out the singles action for the Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils play host to Davenport on Saturday, February 12th at 5 pm as they continue their home stand at the Franklin Athletic Club.
