ANN ARBOR, Mich.--The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) on Monday named Lawrence Technological University sophomore
Martin Wing (Madrid, Spain) and
Tanawan Vetchayanvivat (Bangkok, Thailand) as the men's and women's golf athletes of the week.
In earning his first career WHAC weekly honor, Wing fired a 75 in round 1 and 2-under-par 69 to capture second place at the WHAC Preview on Monday. The Blue Devils shot a team score of 293 in round 1 and 298 in round 2 on Stoatin Brae Golf Course winning the LTU Battle at the Brae. .
In earning her third career WHAC weekly honors, Vetchayanvivat shot a 82 in round 1 and 79 in round 2 to help Lawrence Tech claim the team title in the Shootout at Stonehedge with a round 1 score of 340 and a round 2 score of 327 at the Stonehedge Golf Course.
The women's squad hit the links again on Wednesday for the Lourdes invite at the Legacy Golf Course in Ottawa Lakes. The men will hit the links again on Tuesday for the Lourdes invite at the Legacy Golf Course in Ottawa Lakes.
