SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -
The Lawrence Technological University Women's Volleyball team was well-represented as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its postseason awards, with multiple Blue Devils earning recognition for their excellence both on and off the court.
Leading the way, Nya Matley and Sydney Eggleton were each named to the WHAC All-Conference First Team, recognizing their outstanding performance and leadership throughout the season. Both players played key roles in driving LTU's success, consistently setting the tone with their competitiveness and commitment to excellence.
Earning WHAC All-Conference Second Team honors were Maria Treviño Núñez and Dru Temple, who showcased exceptional skill and consistency in their respective positions. Their contributions were vital to the Blue Devils' strong presence in conference play, demonstrating the team's depth and resilience.
The future looks bright for LTU Volleyball as Kyndal James was recognized on the WHAC All-Freshman Team. James made an immediate impact in her debut season, showing tremendous potential and poise that signal a promising career ahead in the Blue and White.
Demonstrating leadership beyond the stat sheet, Nicole Hughes was selected as Lawrence Tech's WHAC Champions of Character Award recipient. This honor recognizes student-athletes who best exemplify the NAIA's five core values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Hughes' commitment to excellence in all areas truly embodies the spirit of LTU Athletics.
In addition to the on-court achievements, eight Blue Devils earned WHAC All-Academic Team honors, recognizing their hard work and success in the classroom. These student-athletes continue to set the standard for what it means to be true scholar-athletes — excelling academically while competing at a high level on the court.
