Franklin Athletic Club - Southfield, Mich. - The LTU Women's Tennis Team won easily against Lourdes University on Tuesday, Feburary 25th. The women nearly won a perfect match after only dropping six total sets. This improved their record to 7-2 on the season. 

During the doubles matches the Blue Devil women dominated all three matches by not losing a single set all day. The first doubles match for Hatala and Bettley's was forfeited. Sabrina Matoes and Maria Hazas won in straight sets 6-0. Minners and Kohn had no problem getting past their opponent winning 6-0 as well. 

It seemed to be a very quality day for LTU during the single matches. The #1 singles match came with a victory from Sam Weber winning 6-1, 6-2. The #2 match was won in straight sets by Carolin Minners. Erin Hatala's match was the #3 match to be completed in a forfeit. The next three matches were all won in straight sets by Maria Nicolls 6-0, 6-1. Jessica Bettley won 6-0, 6-0 and Sabrina Matoes won 6-1, 6-1. 

Sabrina Matoes is chasing a milestone in program history as she is approaching her 100th victory. This milestone will assemble her as the winningest player in program history. Stay tuned in the next couple matches as she tries to surpass this accomplishment.

The Blue Devils' will host Wayne State University at home Thursday, Feburary 27th for their next match. The match will be set to begin at 12:00pm.
