LTU Women's Tennis Fall Short to UNOH 3-5

Lima, OH - The Blue Devils have now lost two in a row, but are still 7-4 on the season. LTU lost to Northwestern Ohio University 3-5. 

The first doubles match to conclude was between Alice Radde and Sam Weber who dropped their match 1-6. Carolin Minners and Samantha Kohn were the next doubles match to finish. The duo won easily with a final score of 6-1. 

During the singles competitions, the Blue Devils were able to escape with two victories, but it just wasn't enough. Matoes was not on her game as she fell short in straight sets, 2-6, 4-6. Kohn was the next to single to drop her match in straight sets, 3-6, 3-6. Hatas proved to dominate in her match helping the blue devils get on the board, winning 6-2, 6-3. Minners went the distance in her match battling until the end, but still found herself losing the match 2-6, 6-4,  0-6. Sam Weber tried to give the team a little hope as she escaped with a win in her match in three sets, 6-1, 0-6, 6-2. To wrap up the singles match for the day was Alice Radde. She took her oppenent to the third set as she fell short 2-6, 7-5, 6-10, in one of the best battles of the day.

The women's next match is not until March 8th as they travel to Hilton Head South Carolina to play five matches while down there. Senior Sabrina Matoes, who is approaching her 100th win in her career will look to accomplish milestone while the team competes down there.
