Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) women's tennis team swept Lourdes University with a final score of 7-0. This will give the women momentum going into the weekend. 

In the #1 doubles match, Oona Kintscher (FR/Berlin, Germany), and Samantha Kohn (SR/Dearborn, MI) swept their opponent 6-0. The team fed off their hot start as Samantha Weber (JR/Clarkson, MI) and Alice Radde (SO/Munich, Germany) won the #2 doubles match on the day by a score of 6-1. In the #3 doubles match, the end result came by default giving Jessica Bettley (SO/Milford, MI) and Erin Hatala (So Chestfield Township, MI) the win. 

In singles matches, LTU lost onlyand impressive 3 total sets on the day. The team was clicking on all cylinders in this match. Here are some of the results from your Blue Devils. Kintscher swept her opponent in straight sets with a score of 6-0, 6-0. the #2 singles match was between Samantha Kohn (LTU), and Vanessa Skouroukos (Lourdes), and Kohn set the tone early, as she finished the match with a score of 6-0, 6-0. Samanatha Weber took care of business defeating Niki Polce with a score of 6-1, 6-0. The #4 singles match and the final match on the day, was Erin Hatala and she came out hot and capped off the victory for the Blue Devils beating her matchup with a score of 6-2, 6-0. Bettley and Radde both won by default. 

The Lady Blue Devils (1-1 Overall, 1-0 WHAC) will look to carry their momentum into the weekend as they face off against Lake Superior State University at home on Saturday, February, 20th at 12pm noon.
