Grand Rapids, MI - The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) women's tennis team battled all day against Aquinas College and fell just short, losing by a final score of 3-4.
In the #1 afternoon doubles match against St. Francis, Oona Kintscher and Samantha Kohn had not finish. The #2 doubles match, between Samantha Weber and Eva Ramsimmer was the only doubles match to have any results. Those results were a loss for LTU by a score 1-6.
In the afternoon singles matches, Kintscher began the day for the team, and she won in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Weber was the next singles match for the Blue Devils, and she also lost in straight sets by a score of 2-6, 3-6. The next singles match was Kohn, and her opponent beat her by a score of 6-0, 6-1. Ramsimmer was the fourth singles match as she held dominated in her match by a final score of 6-1, 6-2.
LTU will be back to the court Saturday, April 3rd as they take on Spring Arbor University on the road in Spring Arbor, Michigan. The match will begin at 12 PM and will be played inside the Jones Tennis Complex.
