Lima, Ohio - The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) women's tennis team took a loss to a very good Findlay Team on Wednesday, March 3rd with a final score of 0-4.
In the #1 afternoon doubles match against Davenport, Oona Kintscher and Samantha Kohn the ladies established the tone for their team early and beat their opponent Alvarado and Sweet by a score of 6-4, but their match ended last out of all the singles so it was not recored as a win for the team. In the #2 doubles match, Samantha Weber and Alice Radde could not get the job done to extend the lead, and lost 4-6 to Pereyra and Brito. Maria Nicholls and Eva Ramsimmer had a very tough matchup as they played Hadler and Arquette 0-6. This put the Lady Blue Devils down 0-2 going into the doubles matches.
In the afternoon singles matches, Weber lost her match in straight sets by a final score of 0-6, 6-7. Radde was also a participant in the singles matches as she competed against Hadler who beat Radde by a final score of 1-2, 6-6. Maria Nicholls could not steal a single set in her match, as she lost in straight sets 0-6, 0-6 to her opponent, Arquette.
LTU will be back to the courts Saturday afternoon March 6th where the match will begin at 1:00 PM as the women's team will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan. That match will be played inside the MVP Sportscomplex
