Southfield, Mich - The Lawrence Technological University women's tennis hosted Wayne State University at Franklin Athletic Club Wednesday afternoon. The Blue Devils fell short of victory losing the match 1-6 to the NCAA Division I Warriors.
Aligas Mejina/Radde weren't able to get on board falling 1-6 in 1-doubles as were Fontaine/Minners in 2-doubles. Weber/Nicholls dropped their 3-doubles match by another 1-6 score.
Kicking off singles play, Olga Aliagas Mejina dropped her 2-singles match 5-7, 0-6. Following the first match, Samantha Weber and Margot Fontaine also dropped their matches as well with Weber losing at 5-singles 0-6,1-6 and Fontaine falling short 4-6 in both sets of 3-singles.
Carolin Minners pushed her 4-singles match to 3-sets, dropping the first 5-7 and winning the second 6-3. She ultimately fell short in the super tiebreaker 5-10.
Following Minners, Alice Radde lost both sets 2-6 at 5-singles. Angela Anderanin drew a match win by default at 6-singles.
The Blue Devils will host Davenport this weekend on the Saturday, February 12th at 5pm inside the Franklin Athletic Club
